About the Course
The B1 Preliminary and B1 Preliminary for Schools qualifications test all four English skills – reading, writing, listening, and speaking – and show that you’ve built a solid foundation in English with practical skills for everyday situations. Both B1 Preliminary exams test the same skills, but the Schools version has content that’s more engaging for school-age students (11-16).
In your B1 Preliminary course, you will learn to:
read and understand everyday texts like articles, emails and stories
write short notes, messages or simple letters clearly
listen and follow conversations, announcements and instructions in familiar situations
speak confidently about topics you know and take part in everyday conversations.
In your course, you will also:
improve your skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking
learn useful grammar, vocabulary and common expressions
get to know the test and practise all question types
learn strategies and tips to help you do your best on test day.
