Welcome to Natalie Menezes Language Services!

These Terms & Conditions explain how our services work, what we expect from you, and how we protect your data. Please read them carefully before booking.

1. Our Services

• We provide individual English lessons online via platforms such as Zoom or other approved video tools.

• Qualified, native English teachers deliver all lessons.

• Each standard lesson lasts 45 minutes, unless otherwise agreed. The lesson will start and end promptly at the specified time.

• All course materials, recordings, and resources are the property of Natalie Menezes Language Services and may not be copied, shared, or distributed without permission.

2. Registration and Scheduling

• You register for lessons through our website or via email.

• We confirm your booking and propose lesson times.

• Lessons are non-transferable and non-refundable, but can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.

• Extra lessons must be booked separately through the website or via email.

• In case we need to cancel a lesson (teacher illness, technical issues), we will offer a reschedule or, if not possible, a credit for future lessons.

3. Customer Responsibilities

• You must provide a working computer, webcam, microphone, speakers, and reliable internet.

• Attend lessons in appropriate attire and a suitable environment.

• Cooperate with technical requirements to ensure smooth lessons.

• Students must behave respectfully: no harassment, offensive language, or inappropriate content.

4. Fees and Payments

• Lesson prices are based on the current rates and exclude taxes unless stated otherwise.

• Invoices are payable within 14 days. Late payments may incur additional charges.

• Refunds are not provided except in exceptional circumstances (e.g., provider cancellation that cannot be rescheduled).

5. Data Protection

• We collect information you provide directly (name, email, payment details, communications, etc.) and technical data (IP address, device info, browsing behaviour, session data).

• Data is used only to provide and improve lessons, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.

• You may request deletion, correction, or amendment of your data at any time, except where we are legally required to retain it.

6. Lesson Outcomes and Liability

• Our teachers are qualified professionals, but we cannot guarantee specific results or test scores.

• Liability is limited to the fees paid for the lesson/service in question, except where law requires otherwise (e.g., negligence).

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or opportunities.

• We are not responsible for technical interruptions outside our control (internet outages, platform issues).

7. Intellectual Property and Recordings

• All lesson materials, recordings, and proprietary resources remain our property.

• Lessons may not be recorded, copied, or shared without written consent.

8. Age Restrictions

• Students under 18 require parental consent to register.

9. Rules and Conduct

• Students must not break the law, infringe others’ rights, or act against good morals during lessons.

• Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension of services without refund.

10. Jurisdiction and Law

• These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.

• The courts of Tomar, Portugal, shall have primary jurisdiction.

• We also reserve the right to initiate proceedings in your local courts.

11. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

• Continued use of our services constitutes agreement to the updated terms.
