About the Course
The A1 Movers test is part of the Cambridge English Young Learners series, designed for children aged 7–12. It’s a fun and engaging way for them to gain confidence and improve their English. The test covers all four skills – reading, writing, listening, and speaking – through playful, activity-based tasks.
In a Movers course, your child will learn to:
Understand and use simple everyday words and phrases
Read and understand short, basic sentences
Introduce themselves and talk about familiar topics, like family, school and hobbies
Communicate in simple ways with English speakers
They will also:
Listen and understand more: Follow short instructions, questions, and simple conversations
Express themselves in writing: Write single sentences, labels, and short messages
Grow their language skills: Use basic vocabulary and simple grammar more confidently
Feel motivated to continue in English: Earn "shields" to celebrate their progress (there is no pass/fail in the test)
