"Doable" is operated by Natalie Menezes, a self-employed sole trader registered in Tomar, Portugal (NIF: 268489424).
These Terms & Conditions explain how our services work, what we expect from you, and how we protect your data. Please read them carefully before booking.
1. Our Services
-
We provide individual English lessons online via platforms such as Zoom or other approved video tools.
-
Lessons are delivered by qualified, native English teachers.
-
Each standard lesson lasts 45 minutes, unless otherwise agreed. The lesson will start and end promptly at the specified time.
-
Extended double lessons of 90 minutes may be booked and are charged as two standard lessons.
-
Course materials and practice tests provided as part of a course are included in the course price.
-
All course materials, recordings, and resources are the property of Natalie Menezes Language Services and may not be copied, shared, or distributed without permission.
2. Registration and Scheduling
-
You register for lessons through our website or via email.
-
We confirm your booking and propose lesson times.
-
Lessons are non-transferable and non-refundable, but can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled time.
-
Extra lessons must be booked separately via email.
-
In case we need to cancel a lesson (teacher illness, technical issues), we will offer a reschedule or, if not possible, a credit for future lessons.
-
If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or do not attend a scheduled lesson ("no-show"), that lesson will be treated as delivered and deducted from your booked lessons accordingly, with no refund or reschedule.
3. Customer Responsibilities
-
You must provide a working computer, webcam, microphone, speakers, and reliable internet.
-
Attend lessons in appropriate attire and a suitable environment.
-
Cooperate with technical requirements to ensure smooth lessons.
-
Students must behave respectfully: no harassment, offensive language, or inappropriate content.
4. Fees and Payments
-
Prices are locked in at the rate applicable on the date a lesson is booked and paid for; we will not increase the price of lessons you have already booked and paid for.
-
Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue. Late payments may incur interest calculated at the statutory legal rate applicable in Portugal, from the due date until payment is received in full.
-
Refunds are not provided, except where required by law. If we cancel a lesson and it cannot be rescheduled, you will receive a credit for future lessons as described in Section 2 above; credits do not expire.
5. Data Protection
-
See our Privacy Policy for full details on data retention, transfers, and your rights.
6. Lesson Outcomes and Liability
-
Our teachers are qualified professionals, but we cannot guarantee specific results or test scores.
-
Liability is limited to the fees paid for the lesson or service in question, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
-
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or opportunities.
-
We are not responsible for technical interruptions outside our control (internet outages, platform issues).
7. Intellectual Property
-
All lesson materials, recordings, and proprietary resources remain our property.
-
Lessons may not be recorded, copied, or shared without written consent.
8. Age Restrictions
-
Students under 18 require parental consent to register.
9. Rules and Conduct
-
Students must not break the law, infringe others’ rights, or act against good morals during lessons.
-
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension of services. Lessons already delivered before the suspension are non-refundable. Any lessons you have booked and paid for but not yet received will be refunded or credited at our discretion, less a reasonable administrative fee — except where the violation involves unlawful conduct, in which case we may withhold a refund for those lessons as well.
10. Jurisdiction and Law
-
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.
-
The courts of Tomar, Portugal, shall have primary jurisdiction.
-
If you are a consumer, any proceedings we bring against you will be brought before the courts of the country in which you are domiciled, in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection rules.
-
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, in accordance with EU consumer protection regulations.
11. Changes to Terms
-
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Where a change is material, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email or via our website before it takes effect. If you do not agree with a material change, you may cancel any remaining prepaid, undelivered lessons for a full refund, or choose to complete them under the terms that applied when you booked them.
-
Continued use of our services constitutes agreement to the updated terms.
12. Right of Withdrawal
(EU Consumers)
-
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of booking, without giving a reason.
-
If you ask us to begin a lesson within that 14-day period by booking and paying for a specific lesson time, you are making an explicit request for us to begin performance immediately, and you acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal for that lesson once it has been fully delivered.
-
Where the right of withdrawal applies and is validly exercised before a lesson has started, we will refund any amount paid for that lesson within 14 days.
-
This right does not affect your separate rights to reschedule or cancel individual lessons under Section 2.
